Butterfly Valves
Tassalini Butterfly Valves are manufactured in both AISI 316L and AISI 304L stainless steel.
Valves and shutter discs are produced from hot-forged and solution heat treated AISI 316L stainless steel. These are machined on all surfaces and ground on the rotating sections. The addition of two PTFE bushes on the shafts of the shutter discs help to eliminate rotational friction and ease the operation of the handle.
Gaskets are produced by compression moulding and are offered in a range of FDA approved elastomers and coated fluoropolymers. The standard elastomer offered in the Butterfly Valves is FDA grade Silicone with options available in EPDM, FKM & PTFE on request.
For more demanding applications a range of coated PTFE envelope seals are also available with a choice of elastomer cores in Silicone and FKM and EPDM.
All flange bodies are interchangeable by size and the valves can be equipped with manual or pneumatic actuators.
There is a wide range of manual control handles to satisfy the different system requirements.
The pneumatic controls can be either horizontal or vertical with single acting or double effect options for greater flow regulation and these can be fitted with proximity switches, micro-switches, and solenoid valve connectors.
Valves are manufactured from DN25 to DN250 and 1/2″ to 10″.
The standard finish is 120 grit (Ra 1.01-1.14 µm max) with higher finishes are available on request.
The maximum operating pressure is 7 Bar with elastomer seals and 2 Bar with PTFE.
Size range:
The standard valves are available in sizes from 1” to 4” in Imperial sizes and from DN25 to DN250 in metric tube sizes.
HVF offer special valves in ½” and ¾” Micro-Sizes and also DN300 on request.

Handles, Actuators and Control Boxes
A range of manually operated handles is offered to compliment the butterfly valves in stainless steel and plastic materials. The manual handles are offered with the standard 2 position plastic handle through to a 20 position stainless steel handle. A micro-metric rotary handle is available for fine adjustment on accurate flow control applications.
The pneumatic actuators are offered for either horizontal or vertical mounting with single acting or double effect options for greater flow regulation. The actuators can be fitted with proximity switches, micro-switches, and solenoid valve connectors where these can be located locally in a control box or remotely in a panel.
